Srinagar, Dec 3: Police in Awantipora today attached a single-story residential house belonging to a notorious drug peddler.
Valued at approximately Rs 30 lakh as per market rates, the property owner has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, a resident of Larkipora Padgampora, Awantipora.
The action, police said, was taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985.
According to police, the house was identified as “illegally acquired property” during an inquiry conducted by the SHO of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of the SDPO Awantipora.
Notably, the drug peddler is involved in Case FIR No. 212/2020 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Awantipora.
