UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: Under new criminal laws, Udhampur Police attached a vehicle worth Rs 10 lakh, owned by a notorious bovine smuggler in the area.

The vehicle bearing registration number JK14K- 1765 is owned by habitual bovine smuggler, namely Arshad Khan, son of Kalu Ram of Rathian, Udhampur. The case pertains to FIR number 22/2025, registered under Section 223 BNS U/S 11 PCA Act. During the investigation of the case, the movable property was identified as proceeds of crime and was thus attached under section 107 BNSS after obtaining orders from a competent court.
