Police books 2 shopkeepers for violating curfew restrictions

SAMBA, May, 24: To ensure strict implementation of Corona Curfew imposed in the district in view of upsurge in COVID cases, Samba Police today booked two shopkeepers in the territorial jurisdiction of Samba Police Station (PS) for violation of curfew orders.
A police team of PP Supwal led by Incharge Police Post (PO) Supwal, SI Meenu Sharma on specific information booked two shop owners under Section 188 IPC/ 51 Disaster Management Act for violation of curfew restrictions in the district.
A Case FIR No 176/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act has been registered against owner of the Happy Murga Shop namely Narinder Singh alias Happy of Chak Ramchand Samba.
Another case FIR No 177/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act has been registered against Avtar singh son of Jaimal Singh of Baderi Samba running a dhaba namely Shiva Vaishno Dhaba at NHW Supwal, Samba.
Samba Police appealed to its citizens to co-operate with the district administration to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and abide by the curfew restrictions imposed in the district.
