REASI, Dec 24: To maintain discipline on roads and to remove encroachment by cart vendors and shopkeepers, District Police Reasi launched a special drive against violators in Reasi town.
The drive was launched by joint team of Police and civil administration, headed by SHO Reasi Khyatimaan Khajuria and DySP HQs Reasi Neeraj Padyar.
During the drive, nearly 50 vehicles were booked under various provisions of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act for violating traffic norms. Additionally, action was taken against 24 cart vendors found obstructing the smooth flow of traffic in key areas.
As part of this initiative, the District Police Reasi also conducted counselling sessions for drivers of passenger vehicles. These sessions focused on the critical importance of adhering to traffic rules and fostering a culture of responsible driving to safeguard lives. District Police Reasi has urged all road users, including motorists, pedestrians, and vendors, to strictly follow traffic rules and cooperate in creating a safer environment for everyone.
