JAMMU, July 14: A police constable died today of electrocution in R S Pura area on city outskirts.
According to a police official, a selection grade constable, Vinod Kumar son of late Madan Lal, resident of Sai Fagla (Suchetgarh) this afternoon suffered an electric shock from a pump set in the fields at Jajowal and fell unconscious.
“The family members immediately shifted him to CHC RS Pura but doctors there declared him as brought dead,” he said, adding the deceased constable was posted at RS Pura. He said the body was sent for postmortem while RS Pura police had taken cognizance of the matter.
