Police Crack Blind Murder Case, Arrest Accused In J&K’s Udhampur

Jammu, Dec 30: Police claimed to have cracked a blind murder case in a week and arrested an accused in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police on Monday said that on December 25, information was received at Police Station Ramnagar regarding an unidentified body found in Kunju Nallah following which a case was registered and investigation started.
“Through meticulous examination of evidence and technical data, the investigation team made rapid progress and several suspects were identified and interrogated,” said police.
They said that one of the suspects identified as Ajit Kumar, a resident of Rumain, in Ramnagar Tehsil, was zeroed in.
“Upon intense questioning, Ajit Kumar confessed that he had murdered the deceased due to personal animosity,” Police said adding that the accused has been arrested and further investigation is ongoing to uncover more details related to the case.
