UDHAMPUR, June 18: Udhampur Police today distributed T-shirts, shoes, track suits and other items to the needy children and inmates of Jagriti Old Age Home and Bal Ashram Udhampur.
These items were provided by NGO Uday Foundation of New Delhi.
DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Virender Sharma, distributed the items and complimented the efforts of the management of the Ashram as well as the NGO.
SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat, who was also present on the occasion, said that District Police would make regular interaction at Jagriti Old Age Home and all possible assistance would be provided to the inmates.
Dr Nagar of Jagriti threw light on history of the Old Age Home and the pivotal role of JKP.
Addl SP Udhampur, Faisal Qureshi; Dy SP HQ Kameshwar Puri, SHO Udhampur and a number of prominent citizens of Udhampur were also present on the occasion.
