UDHAMPUR, June 7: District Police Udhampur today distributed school uniforms, bags and shoes among the school children of various schools under the jurisdiction of Latti Police Station.
The items were distributed by Rajiv Pandey, Sr Superintendent of Police Udhampur, in presence of teachers, Sarpanches/Panches, prominent citizens and other locals of village Latti. Students of Govt Middle School Pundal, Govt Primary School Latha Top, Govt Primary School Lehari, Govt Primary School Pundal Kot, Govt Middle School Latti Gharat and Govt Girls MS Latti were given the items under Civic Action Programme of J&K Police.
On the occasion, SSP Udhampur advised the students to excel in their studies and extra co-curricular activities. He also impressed upon the students to refrain themselves from the social evils.
The SSP further informed that J&K Police has been organizing various sports tournaments/Bharat Darshan Tour/ Debate competition/ seminars and other cultural activities from time to time in an effort to nourish the young talent and harmonious personality development of the children.
SHO Latti, SI Vishal Manhas and Sarpanch Latti, Kasturi Lal Gupta were also present on the occasion.
