SRINAGAR, Nov 21: SSP Sopore, Shabir Nawab, stated today that the police are always ready to support the needy.
He made these remarks during a Civic Action Programme held to distribute wheelchairs among specially-abled individuals in Sopore.
The distribution ceremony was attended by SSP Sopore, DySP DAR Sopore Hilal Ahmad Hilal, and other officers of Police District Sopore.
During the event, SSP Sopore interacted with all the specially-abled persons and assured them that Jammu and Kashmir Police will always play an eminent role in providing every possible support to those in need.
He also urged the beneficiaries not to allow poverty and orphanage to lead to ignorance and illiteracy.
The participants expressed their gratitude to SSP Sopore and requested that more such events be organized to foster good interaction and relationships between the common masses and the police.
