JAMMU, Aug 8: Police failed to arrest the thieves, who decamped with gold ornaments worth over Rs 5 lakh from a house situated at Tange Wali Gali, falling under the jurisdiction of Panjtirthi police post.
As per police sources, in broad day light on August 6, thieves barged in the house of Rahul Sharma, son of Krishan Sharma at Tange Wali Gali, Kachi Chawni and decamped with gold ornaments worth over Rs 5 lakh.
After noticing the theft, the family members informed the police.
A case under FIR Number 98/16 under Section 454 and 380 RPC was registered at Pacca Danga police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled today.
