Police fails to solve youth’s mysterious death

MENDHAR, May 20: The family members of Mohd Imran hailing from Mendhar town have alleged that police has totally failed to solve the mysterious death case of their son.
Talking to media-persons here today, victim’s mother and brother alleged that Imran’s dead body was found under mysterious circumstances near ITI Mendhar on January 3, 2019. He was called on phone by his friend on the late evening of January 2 and next day his body was found near ITI lying in a vehicle.
They pointed out that police seized his mobile phone and collected all the details from spot but has failed to solve this case. They alleged that it was murder and not simple death case. The police is claiming that they have not received report from Forensic Lab in Jammu. It can not be believed that they have not received report in last four and half months.
The family members alleged that they have approached SHO and SDPO Mendhar several times but they always claim that they were working on the case. It has been learnt that police was trying to protect the accused persons. They appealed to the IGP Jammu, DIG Rajouri-Poonch and SSP Poonch to intervene personally and solve this case on priority.
SDPO, Mendhar Neeraj Padyar when contacted said that police has not received report from Forensic Science Lab Jammu so far. He said some suspects were also called for questioning. As the report comes, the things would become more clear, he added.
