Police foils attempt of smuggling liquor to Katra

JAMMU, Oct 12: Katra Police today foiled an attempt of liquor smuggling to the holy town and arrested a bootlegger besides recovering 62 pouches of liquor from his possession.
During checking by police team of PCP Moori, under the supervision of SHO Katra Inspr Arvind Sambyal and Addl SP Katra Naresh Singh, 62 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor were recovered from the possession of Kaka Ram of Serlian Talab Udhampur, who was on way towards Katra Town.
The accused person has been arrested and recovered liquor was seized. On this, case FIR No. 192/2017 U/S 48-(a) J&K Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
