Police foils bovine smuggling attempt

MENDHAR, July 19: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling by arresting two bovine smugglers and rescued 11 bovine animals from their possession.
According to the reports, on getting specific inputs, a police party of Police Station Gursai under the supervision of SP Amit Bhasim and led by SHO Mehfooz Mirza laid a surprise naka late night today at Kallar Morh and intercepted three tata Mobiles bearing registration No JK113133, JK116312 and JK122509, and rescued 11 bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir.
The drivers of the first two vehicles were arrested while the third one escaped from the spot.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Khalil, son of Allha Ditta, Abzal Karim, son of Mohd Abrahim and Mohd Aris son of Mohd Abdullah, all residents of Dheri Loyelite in Rajouri. All the three vehicles were also seized by the police.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Gursai and the efforts to nab the third accused are on.
