JAMMU, Feb 29: The members of  Employees  Joint Action Committee (EJAC) held strong protest demonstration  here today against the alleged repressive activities of  Director School Education Kashmir.
A large number of members of EJAC  and others from Education department led by NS Jamwal president Plus Two Lecturers Forum,  Dr Manzoor Ahmed  president from Kashmir province  of the Forum, Ganesh Khajuria, B B Kotwal and others assembled at Press Club in the morning and started protest demonstration.
They were shouting slogans against Director School Education Kashmir and demanding his transfer. They alleged that director  was acting   as dictator and trying to suppress the trade unionists. They alleged that director recently raided the office of the union recently in Srinagar and tried to harass the  union members.
They further strongly condemned the activities of the Director School Education Kashmir and urged upon the Governor to remove him.  Several senior leaders  addressed the gathering and supported the organization led by senior trade unionist Qayoom Wani.
After holding protest for some time, the agitating employees tried to take put protest march towards Civil Secretariat but they were stopped by the policemen deployed their in large number.  The employees tried to show some resistance but their protest march was foiled.  Then holding protest at the venue for time, they dispersed.
