Police holds mental health programme

Srinagar, Apr 29: Police Drug de-addiction Centre, Srinagar, and SMHL today held school mental health programme in two High Schools in Srinagar.
A police spokesman said the awareness programmes were conducted in Dreamland Public School Bemina and Al-Gazali Model Secondary Institute, Chanpora here.
A DDC team which include Imran Khan, Zahid Jeelani, counseling psychologists, Harin Abrar Kashmiri, de-addiction social worker, talked about the drug de-addiction services initiated by the police and substance abuse its causes and treatment options, he said.
“More than 200 students participated in these programs and the team briefed these students about the ill effects of drug addiction and its preventive measures,” the spokesman said.
