JAMMU, Mar 24: Police Hospital Jammu collaborated with NGO All J&K Christian Sabha to organise a blood donation camp here today.
A statement said that the event aimed at gathering voluntary blood donations from members/volunteers of a particular organisation under the stewardship of Ashu Peter Mattoo, who intended to donate one unit of blood to save the life of police personnel.
It said the event showcased the organised effort of J&K Police along with doctors and the staff of Police Hospital Jammu, in collaboration with blood bank of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, who actively participated in the blood donation camp.
Dr Meenakshi Kotwal, Superintendent, Police Hospital, Jammu expressed her gratitude to the volunteers/donors for donating the blood in the service of the nation.
She further appealed people from cross-section of the society to come forward and donated blood to save precious lives.
Certificates of appreciation were distributed among the donors at the time of the conclusion of the camp.
