SAMBA, Mar 26: Samba Police booked 25 persons and imposed a fine of Rs 500/- on each of them for not wearing face masks in public places in violation of order issued by DM Samba.
Acting tough against the violators, Samba Police today imposed fine Rs 10500/- in Samba and Purmandal area including Police personnel who were in the public places without wearing face masks.
The wearing of face masks has been made mandatory for the general public in district Samba as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Samba Police has appealed to its citizens to wear masks strictly, take all the precautionary measures to contain the spread of Corona Virus. Also warned to take strict action against those who were seen moving without wearing the face masks.
