UDHAMPUR, June 18: In order to check the effectiveness of the curfew plan drafted by District Police Udhampur on ground, a mock drill exercise was carried out in Udhampur town today under the supervision of SSP Mohd Suleman Choudhary.
During the said exercise, deployment of Police CRPF and Army was made in and around Udhampur town. All the shops remained closed and the movement of pedestrians as well as vehicular traffic remained off the road due to the prior awareness made among the general public by way of regular announcements made through PA system yesterday. The general public remained cooperative during the exercise of one and half hour.
The other officers who assisted in the exercise for its proper implementations were Khalil Ahmed Poswal, Addl SP Udhampur, Gourav Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Mohd Aslam Bhat, DySP DAR DL Udhampur.
