The main issue pertains to the pay anomalies of the Non- Gazetted cadre. Ajit Singh said Government order No. 229 -F of 2014 was issued on 17-2-2014 regarding pay anomaly but the affect is being given prospectively, which means from the date of order, whereas, the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when 5th Pay Commission was implemented throughout the State.

The first such committee was framed in October 2009 and within one year it gave its findings/ recommendations while the another committee was framed in Sept 2011 but the fate of the report of that committee was not known. Another Committee was framed in April 2016, the report of this committee is also awaited. The Finance Department has sought clarification from DGP regarding the pay anomalies of retiree ASIs and HCs. The DGP office has sent the reply mentioning about the amount also but the action in this regard is awaited.
