UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Following death of a young housewife under mysterious circumstances, who was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook at the house of her in-laws at village Padano in Udhampur, Police has detained husband and two brothers in law (Devar) of the deceased for questioning.
The deceased, identified as Neelam Devi (25), wife of Ashwani Kumar of village Padano, was found hanging on Saturday night and according to the family members, she had committed suicide.
Police has initiated inquest proceedings in the case under Section 174, at Police Station Rehambal. For investigation into the matter, Police is questioning, husband of the deceased, who is an Armyman and has come to home. Along with the husband, two brothers-in-law of the deceased have also been detained by Police for the questioning.
According to Police, the couple was married three years back and they have a one and half-year old child.
