Police questions husband, mother-in-law

Relatives and family members of deceased Neetu Gupta protesting outside Bakshi Nagar Police Station on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Dec 19: As family members of Neetu Gupta continued their protest seeking action against in-laws of the young housewife, who was found dead in underground water at her house, police took custody of husband and mother-in-law of the deceased for questioning.
We are questioning Neetu Gupta’s husband Sandeep Gupta and her mother-in-law in connection with the mysterious death as we have already registered a case in this regard under Section 174, informed SHO Bakshi Nagar Ravi Sharma.
As reported by the Excelsior, Neetu Gupta was found dead in water tank of the house of her-in-laws at Bakshi Nagar last week.
However, family members from parental side of the deceased alleged that the young housewife was murdered by her in-laws.
Seeking action against alleged killers of the deceased, they protested again today in front of the Bakshi Nagar Police Station. They raised slogans against `killers’ of Neetu Gupta and alleged that police was trying to shield the culprits. The protesters also blocked the road and disrupted traffic movement in front of Bakshi Nagar Police Station for some time.
