POONCH, Jan 4: The police today arrested one person in Poonch area and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession.
An official spokesman said that a police team from Poonch during patrolling in Poonch city area intercepted a suspicious pedestrian. On questioning, the person disclosed his identity as Sarabjeet Singh, son of Manjeet Singh, resident of Azad Mohalla, Poonch. During checking 5.84 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 3/2025 under relevant Sections of NDPS Act got registered in Police Station Poonch and the above named person was taken into police custody. The recovered contraband was seized following all necessary legal formalities.
