SRINAGAR, June 13: Police recovered an abducted girl and arrested the accused person involved in the crime in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.
A Police spokesman said that Police Station Achabal received a written complaint from one person (name withheld) stating that his 17 years old daughter (name withheld) was abducted by the accused (name withheld). In this regard, a case FIR Number 61/2018 under Section 363-RPC was registered and investigation was started.
He said during the course of investigation, Anantnag police flashed a message to all police units and also used technical efforts to trace them. After strenuous efforts, Anantnag police recovered the girl within 72 hours and arrested the accused person from Jammu. “After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs,” he said.
