Police recovers abducted girl from Punjab

SRINAGAR, Nov 16: Police on Thursday evening claimed to have recovered an abducted girl from Punjab and arrested the accused.
The police spokesperson said the Awantipora police station received a written complaint from a person that his 15-year-old daughter had gone missing from her school. On this complaint, a case was registered and investigation was taken up, he said.
During the course of investigation, it was established that the minor girl was abducted by one Raghu Raj son of Balvinder Singh resident of Tarn Taran (Punjab).
He said after strenuous efforts made by police the girl was recovered from Punjab and the accused Raghu Raj was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents.
