Police recovers Rs 91000 from online fraudsters

KISHTWAR, Oct 5: In a remarkable display of expertise, Kishtwar Police has successfully recovered Rs 91,000 from the criminals involved in online fraud, marking a significant victory in the ongoing battle against cybercrime in the region.
On 2nd October 2023, the Police Post Jawalapur received a complaint from a person namely Irshad Ahmed Keen, son of Magta-Ju-Keen and resident of Sarpen Patnazi Bounjwah. The complainant reported a case of online fraud involving the purchase of a cow and a total monetary loss of Rs 1,26,600 spread across 4 bank accounts of fraudsters.
To crack the case, a Police team led by Incharge Police Post Jawalapur PSI Pintu Raina was constituted by Deputy SP Headquarters Kishtwar Dr Ishan Gupta under the directions of SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal-JKPS. With its relentless determination and skill, the Police team managed to make the recovery of a sum of Rs 91,000 and expressed confidence of recovering the rest of amount soon.
