Police registers FIR against Pvt School owner

MENDHAR, Oct 4: The Police has registered a case against the owner/chairman of a private school for allegedly committing forgery here today.
A police official said that a case FIR No. 143/2019 under sections 420/120-B RPC has been registered against Chairman, Public Higher Secondary School, Mendhar, Mohd Yunis, resident of Gohlad, for committing forgery in connivance with a few Revenue officials and tampered the land record.
He said that action in this regard was taken on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch. One Nazir Hussain from Mendhar filed complaint regarding illegal encroachment on Gravyard land at the bank of river at Mendhar by the accused and tampering of land record falling under Khasra No. 554/ 555 Min. The police party started preliminary inquiry and then after finding complaint genuine, registered FIR in this connection. It was found that actual land under possession had been shown somewhere else and wrong Number Khasra had been entered in the Revenue record.
Meanwhile, the police also registered an FIR No. 139/ 2019 against the president, Beopar Mandal, Mendhar, Parveen Sawhney on the complaint of Tehsildar, Dr Vikram Raina. In his complaint Tehsildar has alleged that during routine marketing checking along with other Govt officials, Sawhney misbehaved with him and other Govt officials and created hurdles in official work. The police was investigating the matter.
