Police rescues 13 bovines, arrests 2

KATHUA, Mar 5: Kathua police rescued 13 bovine animals under the jurisdiction of police Station Lakhanpur today. The police also seized the vehicle and arrested two smugglers.
Police said a team under the supervision of Inspector, Arvind Sambyal during routine naka checking noticed a suspicious truck bearing registration number JK02BV -9657 driven by Aalm Khan , son of Sher Ali Khan of Chenani district Udhampur. He was accompanied by Zahid Ahmed Katari, son of Bashir Ahmed Katari of Margan Gadvail, tehsil Kokernag district Anantnag. The duo was arrested and all the 13 bovines were rescued. The police also seized the truck and registered a case against the two smugglers under relevant sections of the law.
