KATHUA, Sept 24: Kathua and Hatli Police rescued 17 bovine animals at two separate nakas today.
According to reports a police party of Kathua Police Station rescued eight bovine animals which were being carried in a truck bearing number JK0AS8569 at Parli More today.
The inmates of the truck including driver managed to flee by giving police a slip. The truck and animals were seized by the Police.
In another case the Hatli More, Police Post rescued nine bovine animals which too were being carried to Kashmir Valley from Punjab in the truck bearing number JK08-8207 at Magar Khar. The smugglers also managed to give police a slip and fled.
