Police rescues 2 bovines, arrests 2 persons

KATHUA, June 20: District police, Kathua today foiled bovine smuggling attempt near Hatli Morh and rescued two bovines, arrested two persons in this connection and seized the vehicle involved.
Police said its team led by Inspector, Yash Pal Sharma, Incharge Police Post, Hatli under the supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal & DySP Headquarters, Kathua Shammi Kumar during routine naka checking duty at Hatli Morh noticed one suspicious Mahindra vehicle bearing Registration Number, JK21F-7986 being driven by Sunil Kumar, son of Amarjit of Radwan who was accompanied by Sahil Kumar, son of Pershotam Lal both residents of Swankha tehsil, Ramgarh district Samba.
During the checking of the vehicle, two bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Meanwhile, vehicle was seized, two persons were arrested and two bovines were rescued.
A case FIR No 299/2021 U/S 188/IPC has been registered at Police Station, Kathua and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly.
