KATHUA, June 16: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal once again acting tough against the illegal activities of bovine smugglers within the district, rescued three bovines, arrested two persons in this connection and seized the vehicle.
Police said a team led by Inspector, Yash Paul Sharma incharge Police Post (PP), Hatli under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Shammi Kumar while on patrolling duty noticed one Mahindra Load Carrier bearing Registration Number JK14D-9287. On checking three bovines which were presumably being taken without a legal permission were rescued on spot. Accordingly a case FIR No. 292/2021 U/S 188/IPC Act has been registered in Police Station (PS) Kathua and further investigation has been started.
