SAMBA, May 5: Samba police has today foiled the bovine smuggling bid, rescued 33 bovines and also arrested four smugglers.
According to the police an information was received regarding bovine smugglers by it from reliable sources. Soon after receiving information a team of Police Station Samba headed by Inspector, Suraj Pathania, SHO immediately rushed to spot and foiled the bovine smuggling bid. Police freed 33 bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers and also arrested four smugglers on spot who were smuggling bovines by foot through Basantar river.
Police has rescued all the bovines and shifted them to safer places. The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Ilam Din, son of Sher Ali, Tej Ali, son of Sayed Ali, Rashid Ali and Immam Hussain all are residents of Rakh Barotian area of Samba
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigation.
