JAMMU, May 12: Retirees of Police League District Jammu highlighted their demands in the monthly meeting of the body held today under the chairmanship of Karanjit Singh (DSP retired), president of Retirees Police League.
All the retirees demanded full medical facilities including free medicines in Police and other Government hospitals. Vacant posts of Doctors not filled yet. Stating that medical treatment has become beyond the reach of retirees, they said that pension of the police retirees should be at least last basic salary drawn by them.
SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma attended the meeting. He gave patient hearing to all the issues and demands of the retirees and promised full cooperation.
Among other who participated in the meeting were Ranjit Singh (SSP retired), Makhan Lal Sharma (SSP retired), S R Datta, D D Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, V S Kundal (all retired SPs), Daljit Singh, Kuldip Raj, Mohinder Singh, Yoginder Singh and Parshotam Bali (all DSPs), Inspectors Mohd Sadiq, vice president Dhian Singh, Ved Bali, Raj Satpal (SIs) and Ashok Kumar Sharma (ASI).
