Police reunites missing psychiatric youth with parents after 5 yrs

JAMMU, Feb 27: Khour police reunited a missing psychiatric youth hailing from Jharkhand with his parents after five years.
As per police sources, around a week back, an unsound person namely Jadwant Kumar Jha was apprehended near the border by Army stationed at Hamirpur suspecting him as a border spy or smuggler.
Army handed over the youth to police station Khour.
During questioning, the youth told the name of his father Kamdev Jha and his village Rakti Deogar.
Police during search, found the village in Jharkhand and sent the photograph of the youth and his father’s name to police station Sarawan.
Finally, the father of the youth Kamdev Jha was traced out and after getting information, he along with his brothers-in-law Kartik Mishran and Vibhakar Jha reached Police Station Khour and identified his son.
Kamdev Jha told police that his son is a psychiatric patient and went missing from his home on May 7, 2010. Thereafter no clue was about his whereabouts.
After completing legal formalities, the youth was handed over to parents.
The reunion of the psychiatric youth was possible only due to the efforts of SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta, who worked over the case under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinderpal Singh, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
