Police saves lady from committing suicide

SAMBA, June 16: Due to poor economic conditions, a lady tried to commit suicide by climbing over a tower in Jakh area of tehsil Vijaypur.
A police spokesman said that, at around 1630 hours when Anil Magotra, Superintendent of Police, Samba was conducting a meeting with Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Vijaypur SS Sambyal and SHO police station Vijaypur at Vijaypur, a telephonic call was received by SDPO Vijaypur that a lady is climbing over the tower installed near National Highway at Jakh for committing suicide.
On the directions of SP Samba Anil Magotra, SDPO Vijaypur immediately rushed to the spot and found that the lady has climbed more than 100 feet over the CCTV tower installed near NHW at Jakh.
However, police team after hectic efforts succeeded in motivating the lady and she came down. Thereafter she was taken to Police Station Vijaypur where she disclosed her name as Radha Devi, wife of Ravi Kumar of Jakh.
On this, her husband was contacted and she was handed over to him.
The husband of the lady disclosed that they have three children and due to poor economic conditions of the family, his wife is little bit mentally upset.
