JAMMU, June 17: Authorities here today seized the house of a woman who allegedly coerced a minor girl into the flesh trade.
Police sources said that on the complaint of the minor girl, the accused woman was already arrested from Qasim Nagar area and booked under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and POCSO Act.
Thereafter, they said, as part of the investigation, notices were issued to hotel premises where the accused woman reportedly used to coerce the victim for the immoral activity.
“But the hotel is yet to be seized,” sources said.
Today, a team led by Tehsildar Bahu assisted by a several police teams led by SDPO East, reached the house of the accused woman and seized it.
“The house in question was also used by the woman for commission of the immoral activity with several minor girls,” police sources said.
“Further investigations are underway,” added sources.
