JAMMU, May 12: Police seized Rs 500 denomination notes which were scattered on the road in Bakshi Nagar area here.
“Some locals informed about Rs 500 Indian Currency notes when they found them scattered on the road near flyover”, police sources said.
A team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar immediately swung into action and seized the notes.
The matter is being investigated.
However, a senior police officer said that Rs 500 currency notes found scattered on road (Rs 5720) has nothing to do with COVID-19.
“It may slipped out of someone’s pocket and the claimant can collect the money from Police Station Bakshi Nagar”, he added.
