SRINAGAR, Mar 17: Police today claimed to have seized 160 domestic gas cylinders which were illegally stored in Soura area of Srinagar. A Police spokesman said that they received specific information through reliable sources regarding illegal storage/dumping of domestic gas cylinders in the residential area of Hassan-Ul-Banant, 90 ft Road Soura near Masjid Muslim here.
“On the information, a police party of Police Station Soura comprising of SHO Soura, Sheikh Adil headed by SDPO Hazratbal, Rameez Rashid Bhat raided the location and recovered 160 gas cylinders,” he said.
“A case with FIR Number 32/2018 under Section 285 RPC, 23 Petroleum Act stands registered in Police Station Soura and investigation was taken up,” he added.
