KATHUA, Nov 28: Cracking a whip on illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Kathua police today seized two heavy Poclain excavators indulged in illegal mining at Bhini river area of Police Station (PS) Billawar.
Police said on Wednesday a team of PS Billawar under the guidance of SDPO Billawar and SHO PS Billawar during patrolling/checking in its jurisdictional area seized two Poclain Exacavators indulged in illegal mining (extraction of minerals) without any legal permission.
The Poclain excavators indulged in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining Department, Kathua, for further legal proceedings, police said.
