KATHUA, Sept 20: A police party of P/S Kathua during naka checking at Kharkra Morh intercepted one car bearing registration No.HR-99 NW 3939 driven by Amit Kumar S/o Madan Lal R/o Rodi Ward No.11 Khana House No.102 District Ludhiana, Punjab and his associate namely Pawan Kumar S/o Jagdesh Kumar R/o Hadda Rodi House No.05 Khanna District Ludhiana.
During search of the car police recovered 14 bags of plastic filled with forest products of Nag Shatri weighing about 05 Qtls. The vehicle/material was seized and both the above said accused and Nag Shatri handed over to Divisional Forest Officer Forest Division Kathua for further legal action.
Meanwhile, during patrolling near Old Bus Stand Kathua, Police apprehended two persons namely Ashok Kumar @ Shoku S/o Bodh Raj R/o Ward No.08 Kathua and Madan Lal S/o Indeerjeet R/o Ward No.12 Kathua in suspicious condition. During search of the said persons police recovered 29 bottles of Corex from their possession. A case FIR No. 356/2013 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua against the arrested accused and investigation started.
