Police seizes 9 vehicles including excavator for illegal mining

SAMBA, Nov 4 : Continuing vigorous drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has seized nine more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station, Samba, Daljit Singh, SHO Police Station, Purmandal, Vijay Verma, SHO Police Station Ramgarh, Amit Sangra, SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station, Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma and SHO Police Station, Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram, SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized nine more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included one Excavator bearing registration Number JK21H-5700, one Dumper bearing registration Number JK02CT-1842, one Tipper bearing Registration Number JK21B-0663, three tractor trolleys with Registration Number JK02BX-6486, PB18Q-5910, JK02R-6038 and three tractor trolleys without registration Number.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 200 vehicles have been seized in past nine and half months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would not allow illegal mining in Samba district and would take yet more stringent action against mining mafia in Samba district, if illegal mining not stopped.
