SAMBA, Oct, 28: Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered about one grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana
Police said a team of PS Bari Brahmana during surprise vehicle checking near Sarore adda, intercepted an Alto Car bearing Registration Number JK02CX/5665 for checking.
During checking, about one gram of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the driver of the car.
On questioning, the accused disclosed his identity as Anil Singh alias Billa, son of Madan Singh of Hamirpur, Nawan Tehsil Khour district Jammu at present Lalla da Bagh Rajouri Line Jammu. The accused has been arrested on the spot and the contraband item along with vehicle was also seized.
