Police solve theft case, arrest 2 accused in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Nov 11: J&K Police today said it solved a burglary case in Srinagar with the arrest of two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Police said, Police Station Shalteng received a complaint on November 7 from one individual Shabaz Geelani a resident of Tawheed Abad Maloora stating therein that on November 6 some unidentified burglars entered his residential house and stole copper utensils, cash, and mobile phone.
It said a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Shalteng and an investigation was initiated.
During investigation, the Police constituted a special team to identify the accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
After strenuous efforts and with the help of technical input, two accused persons identified as Shahid Ahmad Bhat and Aqib Ahmad Sofi residents of Maloora were found involved in the commission of the crime.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and upon their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession.
