RAJOURI, Feb 15: The police has solved three cases of thefts that have taken place in the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station recently.
The police also claimed to have arrested six accused besides effecting recovery of stolen property worth lakhs from the possession of accused persons.
SSP Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam said that four cases of thefts were registered in Rajouri Police Sartion vide FIR numbers, 41/2022, 49/2022, 55/2022 and 52/2022.
The investigation team headed by SHO Rajourim, Fareed Ahmed conducted investigation in these cases under the supervision of DySP hqrs Vinod Sharma. In the process of investigation, several suspects were rounded up.
Six suspects confessed their involvement in incidents of thefts. They include, Zaheer Abass @Billa, son of Mohd Lateef from Dagani; Shokit Ali, son of Mir Mohd from Khari Karmala Poonch; Tariq Aziz, son of Mohd Makhna, resident of Thudi, Jawhar Nagar; Muzafar Hussain, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Dhani Dhar; Mohd Aslam, son of Sabar Hussain, resident of Laroka, Nowshera while name of sixth accused is withheld due to some legal reasons, the SSP said.
All the accused confessed their involvement in incidents of thefts after which stolen property worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered. The recoveries include Rs 90,000 cash, 20 mobile phones worth around Rs 2 lakhs, stolen motorcycle No. JK11A 9088.
