Police solves murder case, two held

SRINAGAR, Sept 21: Police today said that it have solved a murder case within two days by arresting a woman and her paramour in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman said that Ghulam Mohammad Mir, resident of Hil-Mission village in Budgam district was reportedly missing since September 18 and in this behalf, a missing report was lodged at Budgam police station on September 19.
Consequently, the spokesman said, all possible efforts were made through a team of police officers to trace out the missing person and to ascertain the actual facts of the case. “Subsequently, wife of the missing person namely Fatima was questioned who confessed that she after hatching a conspiracy with her paramour namely Ghulam Rasool Parra, resident of Hil-Mission village killed her husband, the missing person,” said the spokesman.
Following this, the police spokesman said, a case FIR number 293/2016 under section 364 RPC was registered in Budgam police station and investigation set into motion. “During the course of investigation, dead body of the deceased, weapon of offence i.e. ‘axe’ were recovered at the instance of the accused. Dead body of the deceased after conducting postmortem and codal formalities was handed-over to the legal heirs for last rites,” he said.
The spokesman said subsequently offence under section 302, 34, 120-B RPC has been added in the instant case. “The wife of the deceased and her paramour have been into custody,” he added.
