UDHAMPUR, Nov 29- The Police solved a theft case by arresting accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession here.
Official sources said that Police Station Udhampur received a written complaint from one Mohan Lal, son Mangat Ram from W.No.21, Kallar, Udhampur stating therein that on the intervening night of Nov 25/26, some unknown thieves have stolen 10 shuttering plates of iron from his shop at Venus Chowk.
In this regard a case FIR No. 606 U/S 379 was registered in PS Udhampur.
Taking cognizance of the matter, a police team led by its SHO Insp Raghubir Singh rounded up few suspects and put to sustained questioning. During which one suspect namely Manjeet Singh, son of Arjun Singh from Battal Ballian confessed his involvement in the said case. He was arrested by Police. On the confession of said accused person, stolen plates were recovered by police.
