SAMBA, Apr 6:As a part of continuous drive against the menace of the drugs launched by district police Samba on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Anil Magotra, a police party of PS Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Samba seized 60 capsules of Proxyvon from the possession of a youth Tapyal Naka today.
According to police while checking the vehicles on the Highway police party saw the youth who deported from a Kathua bound bus suspiciously at Tapyal and tried to evade the eye of police. The cops on duty became suspicious and acting swiftly they caught hold of him. During his personal search 60 capsules of Proxyvon were recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 35/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation is going on.
The youth has been identified as Babu Ram S/o Kaku Ram R/o W.No. 01 Kathua.
Meanwhile a Police party of Police Station Vijaypur today succeeded in apprehending one notorious criminal namely Sumit Slathia alias Bhanu S/o Jagdish Singh R/o Mandi Gharota, Gurah Slathia who was involved in several heinous cases of P/S Vijaypur Viz- in case FIR No.32/17 U/S 341/323 RPC 4/25- A.Act, FIR No. 14/15 U/S 307/341/34 RPC 4/25 Arms Act of PS Vijaypur. With the arrest of the said criminal the people of the area got a sigh of relief.
Besides in its continuous drive against the menace of the drugs and illicit liquor launched by district Police Samba a Police Party of PS Ramgarh headed by SHO Ramgarh in association with DSB Samba under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur under the directives of SSP Anil Magotra nabbed one person namely Ramesh Lal S/o Munshi Ram R/o Vill. Gho Rakwalan who was carrying 60 pouches/ nips of J&K Excise illegally for selling to the people. In this connection a case FIR No 16/17 U/S 48(a) Ex. Act stands registered against him.
