Police to produce charge-sheet against arrested anti-national element soon: SDPO

JAMMU, Mar 9: Domana Police to produce charge-sheet against arrested anti national element in the Court of law within couple of days.
This was stated by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Domana Kosheen Koul while interacting with media persons here today.

Divulging the details, SDPO Kosheen Koul informed that a man identified as Nazar Hussain, son of Shahid Alam of Raipar Khari was arrested in the month of September last year for waging war against the country in connivance with anti national elements through social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.
“During the course of investigation, it came to fore that the accused along with anti-national elements was trying to wage war against the country through social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. He (Nazar Hussain) was also motivating the youth for anti national activities. Nazar was about to join militant rank, but was arrested”, SDPO Kosheen Koul stated.
A case under FIR Number 248/2020 under Section 13 and 18 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 66-F IT Act and 121-A IPC against Nazar Hussain at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The accused is presently under judicial custody and is lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail, SDPO said, adding that charge-sheet in the case is likely to be produced in the court of law in couple of days.
Meanwhile, Domana police also arrested two thieves including a lady along with stolen 7 tolas gold ornaments and cash.
SDPO said on February 28 this year, a complaint was lodged by Priyanka Sharma, wife of Rahul Sharma of Hiranagar District Kathua, at present Paloura District Jammu with Police Station Domana stating that some unidentified persons entered into his quarter at Paloura and decamped with one gold Mangal Sutra (5 tolas), one gold chain (2 tolas) and cash of Rs 5,000.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 62/2021 under Sections 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
“During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma rounded up several suspected and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Pavneet Singh, son of Narinder Singh of Chatha Farm Satwari District Jammu”, SDPO informed.
The accused confessed his involvement in the theft along with his relative Balwinder Kour, wife of late Kulwant Singh of Baba Ajit Singh Nagar Upper Gadigarh Jammu. The lady was also arrested.
On their disclosure, police recovered all the stolen property worth Rs 3,15,000, SDPO asserted.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
