REASI, Aug 11: Reasi Police has appealed general public not to give attention on the rumours of anti-national and anti-social elements, who are creating confusion and misleading people vis SMS or social media.
If any body found to do such act of misleading people, the guilty shall be booked under law and stern action shall be taken against them, warned SSP Reasi in a written statement in this regard.
The SSP also suggested that if something serious types of suspicious activities come into notice, the same should be informed to nearby Police for further action. Untill the matter is verified by Police after proper verification on ground, people should not create panic among society by spreading rumours on social media, he added.
