JAMMU, June 27: Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain today said police will win the war against terrorists as he described yesterday’s killings of three dreaded Pakistani terrorists in Doda district as a major success.

Speaking to media persons at Ramban after reviewing security arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrimage, Swain said: “We will win this war (against the terrorism). May be we have to suffer some minor losses”.
He described as “big success” the killings of three dreaded Pakistani terrorists in Doda district yesterday during a day-long operation.
“Public is ready…we are ready…Army is ready. Together, we have defeated them (the terrorists) earlier also and again we will defeat them,” the Director General of Police said.
Yesterday, Army and police gunned down three terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit at mountains of Gandoh in Doda district and recovered large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives from their possession including American M4 Carbines fitted with Night Vision Device.

On Shri Amarnath Ji yatra arrangements, Swain said all arrangements have been made for the yatra.
“Security and other contingency measures were also discussed and reviewed at the meeting,” he said, adding the Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) have also been deployed.
The police chief called upon all to adhere to cut off timings during the yatra even if the people had to face some inconvenience.
Earlier, the DGP joined by Additional DGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain and senior police officers reviewed security arrangements for the pilgrimage at Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Ramban has vast facility to accommodate pilgrims in case the yatra is stopped due to adverse weather conditions.
The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway will be guarded by multiple security agencies during 52-day long pilgrimage.
The police chief had detailed interaction with police officers about security arrangements for the pilgrims especially during movement of the yatra convoys and issued directions to the police officers.
