SRINAGAR: A Jawan of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was killed while 10 others were injured in a grenade attack by militants in downtown Srinagar this evening.
A CRPF spokesperson told that militants hurdle a grenade on security forces, deployed at Nawhatta in the city. He said a CRPF Jawan was killed while 10 Jawans were injured in the attack. ”The injured were immediately taken to a hospital,” he added.
Meanwhile, the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness, he said, adding that a massive search operation has been launched to nab the accused. (AGENCIES)
